Living in a Musical

The crashing plane made a sounding note of 550 Hz in harmony with the screaming of the passengers.
Have you heard? We're living in a musical world where life's just a record in a big collection.
A teenage boy on the street got narcoleptic in symphony with the screeching of rush hour traffic.
Just a split 7" in a big collection. Did you get a chance to listen to the melody?
I woke up today and the world had changed. The houses were making power chords, the tiles made arpeggios. I walked down the street as my feet made the rhythm and and the sky sang to me in a high falsetto voice: "You're gonna be ok".

I found a girl just like you.
She has the same fears, she has the same dreams.
I guess she's kinda like you, except that she's still here with me.
I lay in bed beside her and draw her face so near it blurs into yours. I guess I'm starting to like her more with every second she's asleep.
And I'm still living in regret, tired of all the different girls I've met. I can't bring you back so I keep playing on pretend.
I found a girl but I'd rather have you.
I'm training her well to be just like you.
I guess she's kinda like you.

I listen to tapes and cassettes of the Raveonettes (not those DJ-sets). I play guitar and not turn tables. No, I'm not able. I'm an analog fable.
I can't dance that way. I shake my head and stamp with my feet.
I am coming over. Make a little room now. I'm swinging my arms around. That is called moshing. Oh no, wait! That's sXe!
I'm just an indie rocker kid on a club night.
I shake my hips and point my finger while I'm screaming:
"I can't dance that way. I shake my head and stamp with my feet. Electroclash is as far as I go. Cause I can't stand to be monotone."
So out of place. Pick up the pace.
